Pierre Curie & Marie Sklodovska

Soon after they had first met for tea in 1894, Pierre Curie called on Marie Sklodovska at her apartment at 11 Rue des Feuillantines.  

 

After Pierre's death in 1906, Marie took his teaching position, becoming the first woman to teach at the Sorbonne.
