The artist was provided with an unpainted fiberglass heart which he painted with acrylic paint. |

The poems were printed in reverse on a clear plastic sheet called polychromate so the text could be read through the plastic and thus be protected from the elements. |
 |
Each poem was printed on a hand-painted found book and attached to the heart with epoxy. |
 |
Ready for delivery to the San Francisco Public Library. |
